Negatives of relegation
What are they?

We don't have any players worth keeping apart from Lanzini, and he'll be off whether we stay up or not.

We aren't going to invest any money regardless; at least if we went down we have a massive clear out, win some games and hopefully get the feel good factor back. I genuinely can't see one negative to being relegated. West Ham has been a massive chore for 2 years and shows no sign of getting any better. I think they club would end up better off if we went down.

And the massive positive is it would cost G&S a fortune, which I'd be delighted about

I honestly couldn't give a shit if we go down, some of my favourite memories of supporting the club have come from the second tier

Re: Negatives of relegation
I quite enjoyed the Championship.

However for the good of the club I DO NOT want to get relegated.

Guess the attendance if we go down?

30,000?

We might be playing Leyton Orient sooner than you think if we carry on like this

Andy, if you really need to ask, then you need to find something else to do in your spare time.

1964 - but I don't know how staying in the PL is for the good of the club? What does the PL give us that the Championship doesn't?

Chelmsford - enlighten me. What are the negatives?

Oh and it won’t cost g and s a fortune, it’ll cost the club a fortune.

Money?

Re: Negatives of relegation
Andy, how about a few hundred million quid for starters.

andyd12345 7:34 Sun Nov 19
Re: Negatives of relegation
Still no one has given a negative. We aren't going to need much money it's our free stadium and much cheaper workforce. Plus we get massive fuck off parachute payments for 3 years.

We couldn't maintain the Olympic Bowl with a 30,000 crowd for long either. That's another positive

Re: Negatives of relegation
We have 30k season ticket holders who didn’t want an ST at UP in the Premier league, so I suspect a lot of them wouldn’t bother if we went down.

Re: Negatives of relegation
Chelmsford - a few hundred million quid is only a positive if we use it for positive things. We don't - so losing it isn't a negative. Having less revenue isn't a negative at all. It just means less money in the dildos pockets, which is a win for me

Re: Negatives of relegation
Andy, so losing a few hundred million quid isn’t a negative. I take it you’re not in charge of the finances in your house.

Re: Negatives of relegation
As I keep saying, it's only a negative if losing that money leads to negative things. What negative things will happen by losing £100m? We have to sell players? The owners sell up? I don't know what this mythical negativity is.

Going down isn’t a good thing, it can’t be! However we’re we to go down (and it’s looking very likely) then it could be a chance for us to actually introduce some of the youngsters that aren’t getting a look in right now. We’ve a great fan base that doesn’t desert the team in the championship.

I want players who want to play there hearts out for the club. Watching that would give me great satisfaction and pride regardless of what division we were playing in.

The club needs a good fucking pull through and a clean up from top to bottom.

Re: Negatives of relegation
Here's a negative for you.

We'll more than likely have no manager, and people aren't going to be queuing up for the job.

We'll have to sell most of our players for not a lot of money. (Aside from the ones we'll be stuck with because they aren't going to get a good deal at a new club) If people are moaning now about the owners being tight with transfer funds, how do you think it's going to go if we need a complete squad overhaul with all our assets leaving at knock down prices, or having to deal with the ones on massive contracts with no heart or desire.

It's not a fucking easy job to rebuild a squad and get promoted in one season. We could be stuck down there for several years if we go. Look at how far the likes of Sunderland, Villa, QPR, Bolton, Birmingham and Hull sank or are sinking after dropping.

The owners definitely won't sell if we get relegated either.

Getting relegated would be fucking terrible.

Only plus is that we'd still get tremendous support, even if ticket prices went up.

Re: Negatives of relegation
ill give you the biggest negative shall i. For those of that go it means we've been shot most of the season and seen our team lose more than most have. It means we've seen shit football and we've had a shit time.

You may not think thats a fucking negative but personally i do. If any so called fan thinks getting relegated is not a negative they're either a sad cunt or never go to a game. I bet all those that went today just like those that saw us get trounced to brighton and liverpool are all saying 'don't worry theres no negatives in going down look at the positives , at least gold and sullivan are going to lose money'.
